The Langley, A Tribute to Legends Charity Pro-Am, to be held August 20-21, 2018 at Pebble Beach Resorts provides an intimate golf experience like no other. Guests enjoy a two day event, starting with An Evening with Golf's Legends on Monday, August 20th at The Inn at Spanish Bay where attendees have a meet & greet with the Honorees. On Tuesday, August 21st guests are treated to The Langley Charity Pro-Am tournament held at Pebble Beach Golf Links, followed by an Awards Luncheon attended by players, Honorees and Langley family members.
Named after former PGA Head Professional Jim Langley of Cypress Point Club, The Langley is the NCPGA Foundation's premier charitable fundraising event designed to honor the game's legends, where proceeds are donated to deserving charities. Langley was admired world-wide for his generosity and humble nature, and is the epitome of what this event is about. Jim was a UC Berkeley alumni, four-sports athlete, and member of Cal's famous 1959 Champion basketball team, and he also proudly served in the US Marine Corps.
PGA HOPE provides free golf lessons to disabled and able-bodied military veterans as a therapeutic tool to help improve their mental, social, physical and emotional well-being. Lessons are taught be PGA Professionals who receive special training in adaptive golf teaching methods. PGA HOPE is endorsed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
